Extraordinary Agent of the Week | Whitney Ray-Dawson

Buying or selling a house is one of the largest financial transactions people make in their lifetime. Whitney strives to keep her clients informed and educated throughout the process. With personal experience in buying, selling, remodeling and building homes in the United States and Costa Rica, and a master’s degree in conflict resolution, Whitney offers her clients a compassionate and patient perspective on the buying and selling process.
Whitney is honored to work with the Alliance Sotheby’s International Realty group of professionals committed to assisting buyers and sellers through the real estate process with a maximum of satisfaction and a minimum of stress.
Whitney’s love of architecture and interiors was nurtured in the Northeast where she grew up outside of Boston in a 1732 home, and a 1920’s New York City co-op. While working towards her BA in Art at The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO, Whitney studied architecture and design in Finland. She has lived in Minneapolis, Honolulu, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Rowayton, CT, and, for the last 20 years, Knoxville. While living in LA, Whitney studied interior design at UCLA, and worked for several years in the high-end hotel design business.
Whitney completed her MA in Conflict Resolution in 2008 and obtained her Real Estate License in 2009. Since then, she has earned her ABR, AHWD, e-Pro, GRI, RCS-D, and SRES real estate designations.
Whitney serves as a Board Director of the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors (KAAR), on the Professional Standards Committee, and is a past member of the Diversity and Grievance Committees. She mediates for The Community Mediation Center, and sits on the boards of Circle Modern Dance, The Clarence Brown Theatre, The Community Mediation Center, and the Tennessee Valley Mediation Association. Whitney is also a member of the Rotary Club of Knoxville. She volunteers as a reader at Beaumont Elementary School and as a Mentor for TNAchieves.
