Sotheby’s International Realty® Brand Exceeds Record $112 Billion in Global Sales Volume for 2018

Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC today reported that in 2018 its affiliated brokers and sales professionals achieved more than $112 billion USD in global sales volume, the highest annual sales volume performance in the history of the brand. Additionally, 27 affiliated companies surpassed $1 billion USD in sales volume in 2018.

“Experts predicted that 2018 would be a slow year for the global real estate market,” said Philip White, president and chief executive officer, Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC. “Despite the forecast, our talented affiliated companies and their sales associates continued to perform at the top of their game to drive a year-over-year sales volume increase that is truly remarkable. We are going to keep the momentum going in 2019 and we will continue to empower the Sotheby’s International Realty network by offering innovative products, tools, and research to provide best-in-class service.”

The Sotheby’s International Realty brand website, sothebysrealty.com, saw another record year with more than 30 million visits, a 13 percent increase year-over-year, with 13 percent of traffic generated from new users. Top searches on sothebysrealty.com in the United States included New York, New York; Malibu, California; and Los Angeles, California. Outside of the United States, the top locations searched were London, United Kingdom; Paris, France; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Lake Como, Italy; and Sydney, Australia.

Extraordinary Agent of the Week 

You might say that real estate is in Angie Riedl’s blood; growing up in Knoxville as part of a family that ran a construction business, Angie has been passionate about real estate all her life. From initial drawings to final finish work, the process continues to fascinate her.  Angie appreciates the charm and character of each unique home and is constantly amazed at the attention to detail she finds in the homes available in Knoxville’s historic neighborhoods.

Angie earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at the University of Tennessee, and before entering real estate as a profession, she served at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center as a Clinical Social Worker. She typically dealt with patients and families in critical situations. Angie learned how to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure that each patient’s needs were met to achieve the best possible outcome. She has carried over this client- and outcome-centered work ethic as a real estate agent. Alliance Sotheby’s International Realty announces Jen Dunn as a new affiliate broker.

Jen takes pride in cultivating relationships that allow her to understand what each client is looking for and is excited to be given the opportunity to find the right home for you. Fostering a love of building relationships came from her experience working with military families in the office of Morale, Welfare and Recreation in the beautiful state of Hawaii.  With a keen eye for detail and a love of architecture, Jen looks forward to establishing a relationship with her clients while searching for their new home.

Jen Dunn is a life-long resident of Knoxville and brings a wealth of knowledge about our surrounding community.  She is a graduate of Webb School of Knoxville, and attended Radford University in Virginia where she earned a Bachelor of Science.  Jen is a member of the United Way of Greater Knoxville Women of Tocqueville; a board member of the Knoxville Museum of Art; and recently co-chaired the American Heart Association Heart Gala in 2016.  Jen is married to Greg and they have 4 children.
